What is FusedEffects?
The "online hybrid of visual and auditory stimuli", FusedEffects is a non-profit, multimedia-oriented web-site created to showcase the artistic work of Erik Stackelberg and Jerry Low (that's us!) Way back in Y2K, when we were both just a couple of nerdy kids at a local high school, our love for computers and art had us glued to our monitors on a nightly-basis. However, video games used up only a fraction of our harddrive space; our real e-obsession involved creating and producing and designing, all the while trying to emulate those we idolized as “digital art” celebrities.
The Roots
FusedEffects first began as a simple outlet for showcasing our work to our friends – an early form of the “personal online space” that today has become so prevalent through blogging, MSN Spaces, and so on. Since its beginnings in early 2000, FE has come a long way. However, the mandate that originally motivated FusedEffects' creation remains the same: FusedEffects is an online art exhibit-community-showcase. It is a fusion of effects, an “online hybrid of visual and auditory stimuli” created to please your eyes and ears.
